Aeneas Wilder: Longside Gallery, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, 31st July - 3rd November 2011

The exhibition consisted of a large temporary installation, Untitled # 155, created using approximately 9250 cut lengths of Iroko hardwood. The units of wood were stacked to create a circular wall that filled the space of the gallery. The wall itself was 4.8m high and had a diametre of 18m. The work was accompanied by some smaller maquette works, including a maquette for the end of the world, a maquette for a structure in which to find yourself, a large wall drawing, using approximately 3000 short lengths of wood and three examples of three dimensional sketches.These maquette works can be viewed here. The installation Untitled # 155 was collapsed as a public performance on the 3rd Novemver, the last day of the exhibition. Complete video documentation of the processes involved in creating the installation as well as the full collapse of the work can be viewed here.
