Aeneas Wilder: exhibitions On the edge of falling, Seeing Gallery, Exploratorium

Untitled # 131, # 132, # 133

Douglas fir, dimensions variable, 2007

Seeing Gallery, Exploratorium, San Francisco, USA, 27th July - 3rd September 2007

A series of three works were developed during the 3 week preparation for the exhibition. The wood was cut to the specific lengths required to create a 3.8m free standing sphere. The sphere was the third work in the series and was planned to be the work that would remain in the gallery space until the last day of the exhibition. However, before the sphere was constructed the pre-cut units of wood were used to create two improvised works which were documented on video and destroyed.
